Dr. Renee
Waldman is a Naturopathic Doctor. She graduated from Hiram College
in 1986 with dual pre-med degrees in Biology and Psychobiology/Animal Behavior.
She chose Hiram College due to the College being one of
only two undergraduate programs in the country offering an animal observation
field station on location. Dr. Waldman was inducted into the Hall of Fame at
her Alma Mater for her athletic/ leadership abilities and academic acumen. Her
athletic career marked the beginning of her foray into guided visualization,
meditation and yoga. Dr. Waldman
received an invitation to tryout for the Olympic Field Hockey upon completion
of her collegiate career. While considering a career in Veterinary Medicine,
she acquired a limited medical license in Massage and pursued advanced degrees
in Sports Massage. She worked with Olympic and Professional athletes for ten
years within the areas of massage, yoga and guided meditation thereafter,
she decided to establish a chain of twenty nationwide sports massage clinics
spanning five states while attending Medical
School at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (1994-1998).
Dr. Bernard Jensen, a
Nature Cure based Naturopathic Doctor, mentored Renee in the importance of Mind
Body Medicine and the powerful effects of subtle energy upon the process of
healing and well-being. He was the ultimate sphere of influence in her decision
to become a Physician. Her extracurricular studies took her to Costa Rica, Russia
and China
to study Medicine and Qigong in a number of Buddhist and Taoist Monasteries.
After graduating from Medical
School, Dr. Waldman
returned to her passion for animals and energy medicine as she apprenticed for
several years under the tutelage of a horse whisperer, Susan Catt, who
specialized in training Wild Mustang Horses.
Dr. Waldman integrated her experience in subtle energy as language with
her medical training and developed a method of equine-facilitation in which a
horse directs the unfolding of a human subject’s evolution of consciousness. In
her ability to communicate with horses in the form of dancing, Dr. Waldman has
developed a style of equine connection she has named Equine Qigong. She has opened the minds’ of many
with her equine assisted model of healing utilizing intraspecies communication.
Dr. Waldman states, “Energy is a universal language that transcends species.
Within the understanding of energy, the key to all inward and outward effective
communication is available.”
Dr. Waldman
continues to gentle Wild Mustang Horses as part of her own ongoing growth
process. She has published articles and conducted workshops in the
areas of health centered consciousness and equine-facilitated therapies.
Currently, Dr. Waldman is licensed as a Naturopathic Physician in the states of Arizona and Vermont
. She
serves as Vice Chairman of the State of Arizona
Naturopathic Medical Board. She has been asked to speak locally and
nationally regarding her integrative methods of healing. Within her practice
Dr. Waldman focuses upon the patient’s strengths and abilities to tune into the
healer within. From Dr. Waldman’s
perspective the essence of healing resides in the unveiling of our courage to
align with the truth of who we are. The dismantling of our core mythology
enables access to our deepest authentic self. The distraction of obstacles we
create becomes less compelling as we begin to grow our compassion and wisdom in
relationship to self.
